Pionus is a parrot native to Central America, South America, and Mexico. This colorful bird has a fat body, a square tail with a short size, and open eye circles. This loud and booming bird is prone to obesity, especially if it suffers from vitamin A deficiency. However, it is still reasonably easy to care for and is a long-lived bird.
